Key Responsibilities

• Provides operational support to the site leadership team to ensure the compliance of environmental, health & safety management system
• Manages legal requirements & company standards compliance
• Supervises and mentors local EHS team
• Carried out forensic root cause analysis for site accidents and incidents, liaising with insurance companies and handling any claims
• Develops, reviews, and updates EHS procedures, records and other management systems documents including, but not limited to, emergency preparedness, building risk assessments, and other H&S required documentation, statutory and group reporting
• Maintains company ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system certification
• Consults and advises top management of environmental, health and safety issues
• Communicates safety requirements to the organization in an effective way and creates safety awareness throughout Irish sites
• Manages a network of external partners: occupational health, insurance experts, local authorities and key contractors

Essential Requirements

• Recognized formal Health and Safety Qualifications
• At least 7 years experience in the area of Health & Safety
• Excellent knowledge of local and EU EHS regulations and compliance
• Solid  background in production environment
• Very good communication & interpersonal skills with can do attitude

Desirable Requirements

• Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage change
• Ability to effectively work with all levels of management and to clearly present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers, and customers
